Imprints : Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of the software Imprints for mobile devices that was created by Poet & Mountain, LLC ("Poet & Mountain"). Imprints connects you to the experiences of others around you and around the world, and lets you share your own. Any registered user can make an imprint, which contains multimedia content, a description, and other metadata such as the location the content was created at.

Information Collection and Use

User Provided Information

Poet & Mountain obtains the information you provide when you download and create an account with Imprints. Registration of an Imprints account is optional. However, you will not be able to use some of the features offered by Imprints -- including, but not limited to, the ability to make and share your Imprints -- unless you first register an account with us.

When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Irrespective of which country you reside in or supply information from, you authorize Poet & Mountain to use your information in the United States and any other country where Poet & Mountain operates.

When you register an Imprints account with us, you provide (a) your e-mail address, user name, password and other registration information; (b) transaction-related information, such as when you make purchases, respond to any offers, or download or use Imprints from us; (c) information you provide us when you contact us for help; and; (d) information you enter into our system when using Imprints. Some of this information, for example, your name and username, is listed publicly on our Services, including on your profile page and Imprint feeds.

We may also use the information you provided us to contact your from time to time to provide you with important information or required notices. If you e-mail us, we may keep your message, e-mail address and contact information to respond to your request.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, Imprints may collect certain information automatically, including the type of device you use, the version of iOS your device is running, and information about the way you use Imprints. We collect this information to optimize the user experience and determine how to focus our efforts in improving the product.

Imprints You Share

Our Services are designed to help you share experiences with the world. Most of the information you provide us is information you are asking us to make public. This includes not only the Imprints you share and the metadata provided with an Imprint such as when you recorded it, but also the users you follow, the Imprints you mark as favorites, and many other bits of information that result from your use of the Services. Your public information is broadly and instantly disseminated. When you share information or content like photos, videos, and audio files via the Services, you should think carefully about what you share.

Location Information

We use your location information in several ways. In order to provide you with Imprints in your area, we need your current location. You can still use Imprints after denying it permission to use your location, but many features will not function. Access to your location is required in order to create and share an Imprint, as the locations of experiences users share is integral to the service. When you make an Imprint, your current location at the time of creation will also be associated with the Imprint. This location and the time you created the imprint is publically viewable when you share it on the service.

Server Logs

Our servers automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, device type, iOS version, and location. We receive Log Data when you interact with our Services, for example, sign into our Services or interact with our e-mail notifications. Poet & Mountain uses Log Data to provide our Services and to measure, customize, and improve them. If not already done earlier, we will either delete Log Data or remove any common account identifiers, such as your username, full IP address, or e-mail address, after 24 months, and thereafter may store it in aggregate.
