Wordini : Privacy Policy
This privacy policy governs your use of the software Wordini for mobile devices that was created by Poet & Mountain, LLC ("Poet & Mountain"). Wordini utilizes a server to allow users to remember words they forgot, and requires an internet connection to this server to provide results. We take privacy seriously, and take all realistic steps to make sure your interactions with Wordini are protected. This includes our use of secure connections to our server, as well as an API design that does not personally identify users or tie them to the things they search for.
Information Collection and Use
User Provided Information
When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Irrespective of which country you reside in or supply information from, you authorize Poet & Mountain to use your information in the United States and any other country where Poet & Mountain operates.
When you install and use Wordini, you provide (a) transaction-related information, such as when you conduct searches or use the service in other ways, (b) information you provide us when you contact us for support; and; (c) information you enter into our system when using Wordini. Information you provide is not used to personally identify you.
When you submit searches, accept or reject answers Wordini has offered, or use other features which require use of the Wordini server API, this information is stored on the Wordini server in order to improve the quality of words returned to users, as well as to analyze and improve the performance of the service and provide information to help better serve its customers. These pieces of information submitted to Wordini by users or generated during the use of the service are used purely in aggregate, and cannot be used to personally identify a particular user.
If you e-mail us, we may keep your message, e-mail address and contact information in order to respond to your request.
Automatically Collected Information
The first time a user conducts a search, Wordini assigns an API token and stores it on your device in order to communicate with the server. This token is stored as long as Wordini is installed on a device, but does not personally identify the user, nor does it enable a particular device to be identified. It is only used to authorize a particular installation of the Wordini app for use of the service.
Wordini may collect certain information automatically, including your device IP address, the type of device you use, the version of iOS your device is running, and information about the way you use Wordini. We may use this information in aggregate to optimize the user experience and determine how to focus our efforts in improving the product. This information is kept separately from data submitted to our servers, and cannot be used to identify a specific device's usage habits or specific searches.
Server Logs
Our servers automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your device IP address, device model, and operating system version. We receive Log Data when you interact with our Services, such as conducting word searches. Poet & Mountain uses Log Data to measure, customize, and improve its Services. This data is not and could not functionally be used by Poet & Mountain to tie data a user submits to a particular device. If not already done earlier, we will either delete Log Data or remove any common account identifiers, such as your full IP address, after 24 months, and thereafter may store it in aggregate.
